# Release Notes
Kingdee Apusic In-Memory Data Cache v2.1 (AMDC) is an independently developed, versatile, and high-throughput distributed caching system. It offers capabilities such as data caching and cache management, primarily suited for systems with high concurrency, distribution, and frequent data access scenarios. This system provides secure and reliable caching support for critical applications, and it is compatible with the Redis protocol and persistent data files, enabling simple, quick, and smooth replacement of Redis.
# About This Version
This version is divided into Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition.
Standard Edition: Enhances the compatibility of the caching core, optimizes configuration items and improves the practicality of the configuration file; The console has been further enhanced in terms of practicality, employing a multi-tenant management model that enables the simultaneous execution of multiple deployment and scaling tasks. It offers new operation and maintenance capabilities including data analytics, command monitoring, data recovery, and configuration through a user-friendly interface.
Enterprise Edition: This edition realizes dual-site active-active capability with real-time data replication, and supports a unidirectional backup center for data synchronization. While adhering to a two-site three-center architecture, it delivers an innovative approach to real-time inter-regional data synchronization, specifically tailored for business systems.
# New Features and Enhanced Characteristics
# Caching Core
On-demand Configuration
"Now configuration items can be set up on-demand (by category + specific configurations), eliminating the need for complete configuration sets."
Data Flush Optimization
The impact of data flushing on performance has been further reduced to a negligible level.
# Console
Concurrent Deployment/Scaling Operations
Multiple automatic deployment and scaling operations can now be performed concurrently.
Simplified GUI Configuration
Provides configuration templates, cold/hot update capabilities for configurations, enhancing control over instances.
Data Recovery
Previously only capable of data backup, it now enables restoring backed-up data or other RDB data to instances.
Multi-Tenant Management Model
Utilizing a multi-tenant management model ensures data isolation between tenants, eliminating cross-impact. It operates on a pay-as-you-go basis, relieving tenants from operational implementation burdens, and clearly defines responsibilities and authorities.
# Major Technical Changes
Two-Location Three-Datacenter Architecture
Introduces a new deployment model featuring dual-active sites and backup centers, supporting dual reads and writes, real-time synchronization, suitable for data synchronization services with high real-time requirements.
